Repeat Business

Somewhere over the rainbow I got lost in my own good time.  The days keep behaving as they always have and the cast of characters in my life keep evolving and I am still enjoying it all.

I am working two days a week at two different museums. One in Durham and one in Newcastle. For the Durham museum I am helping with the redesigning and implementing of new learning resources for the new Egyptian collection. For the museum in Newcastle I am helping to create 30 minute tours for school aged children. Once my CRB clears I will be running workshops with students as well. The greatest part is that I am appreciated, gaining valuable knowledge and still not being paid for it! It's classic, it's perfect. I'm free!

The weather is absolutely glorious. It is warm, sunny, bright, light and sometimes rainy, then sunny, then rainy and again sunny. I am told this is perfect English Summer weather.

Right now, there is a large spider who has taken up residence in the sink. As I type she is spinning a web around the drain hole. She has only 7 legs! I do not know what happened to her eighth. The birds are tweeting and Zelda is having her bath, enjoying the spiders antics. Spiders are good luck, so in the sink drain she shall remain.

Tomorrow we get the keys to our new house. It will be ours. I am nervous to see it without anything inside. I am excited to change it and make it our own. It is not the perfect house, but it has the potential to be. It is good that I am not working full time right now as I have the time to devote to the house. I will start with stripping the wall paper, then ripping up the carpets, getting the garden into shape and cleaning. The builders will not start until middle of June. The work is supposed to be finished by middle of August. I am prepared to move in whilst work is still going on.

It is now 7:32. Zelda is coming out of the bath. It is time to dry her off, read to her and snuggle her to sleep. It has been a lovely Sunday filled with laughter. It has been perfect!
